INESCOP is a service organization for the footwear and related industries, formed by these companies themselves in order to collectively deal with the technological activities which are of sectorial interest and which cannot be carried out individually.
Currently known as the Technological Institute for Footwear and Related Industries, INESCOP began its activities in 1971 and works as a non-profit making organization, with more than 600 associated companies in the whole country.




Set up in 1977, FICE is the business organisation that represents the overall interests of the footwear sector, both at national and autonomous region level and internationally.
It comprises 9 associations based in major industrial areas: Valencia and Vall d’Uxó (Community of Valencia); Almansa and Fuensalida (Castile-La Mancha), Arnedo (La Rioja), Majorca and Minorca (Balearic Islands); Illueca (Aragon) and Valverde del Camino (Andalusia), and a number of companies linked directly with it from outside the aforementioned areas.




EURIS (European Union of Research Institutes for Shoes) is an association, created in 1986, which brings together the Footwear Research Institutes of 13 European countries.
Its objectives are:  
To provide a mechanism for the exchange of information between footwear research institutes in the European Union.
To promote and co-ordinate the participation of footwear companies in the research and technology programmes of the European Union.
To promote technological actions in support of the footwear sector of the European Union.




The website IMPIVAdisseny is a service developed by the Regional Ministry for Economic Affairs, Industry and Trade through IMPIVA to support processes of design management in the companies of the Valencian Community. At the same time, the brand IMPIVAdisseny identifies the actions started by IMPIVA in its Plan to foster design with the objective of:
Motivate the design as an innovation factor necessary to increase the competitiveness of the company.
Create a net of counseling to support design management in the companies.
Facilitate the access to services that promote a correct process of product development.




AEC, the SPANISH ASSOCIATION OF FOOTWEAR COMPONENTS AND MACHINERY COMPANIES was established on the 22nd of February, 1999 when a group of associations that were capable of tackling the challenges of the new XXI century merged together to defend the common interests of the Footwear Components Sector.
Among the main objectives that are planned to be reached through this plan, stand out:
1.    Increase the sales turnover of the component firms.
2.    Improve the productive capacity of the companies.
3.    Promote innovation in the sector.
4.    Strengthen the brand Footwear Components from Spain.
5.     Increase the number of companies associated to AEC
